PSCO Visit in School - Year 5
Wed 13 Mar 2024Today we had the privilege to have a visit from our PSCO Nicky Dunn who spoke to all our Year 5 children.
She spoke about behaviour outside school and Social Media.
The Year 5 children were very interactive and asked loads of questions
Nicky will be returning in the Summer to have an afternoon of games with Year 5.
Very excited to working with Nicky and look forward to her next visit.

Claire from Durham Police with Ben and Jet
Mon 11 Mar 2024Today we had a treat for our Year 3 and Year 4 classes. Claire from Durham Police came to visit with her police dogs Ben and Jet. Firstly the children had a chat to Claire about safety and what the dogs do in the Police, then they all got a chance to stroke Ben and Jet.
The children had an amazing time and loved Ben and Jet who coincidentally are step brothers -
Year 5 Singing in Peterlee with Elaine Palmer
Mon 11 Mar 2024Very proud of our Year 5 singers who performed at Castledine Shopping Centre in Peterlee with Elaine Palmer on Saturday. There is a video of them singing in The Echo Newspaper Website .
They all sang beautifully. the songs that they had written were amazing , even Mrs Craggs and I had a good sing a long !

The Year 6 children were very interested in what she was saying and there was allot of fantastic questions from the year group.
Nicky will be returning in the Summer to have an afternoon of games with Year 6.

There were so amazing costumes an we even had a T-Rex come to visit and even did some amazing work in the class.

Careers Fair

This event provided a fantastic platform for Year 5 and Year 6 pupils to explore various career paths, igniting their curiosity and prompting them to contemplate their future aspirations.🌟🌟

Girls Cricket Festival
Wed 07 Jun 2023Congratulations to our Year 6 girls cricket team who came second in the cricket festival today! They represented our school well and we are very proud of them all.

Year 5/6 Tag Rugby County Champions
Mon 20 Mar 2023Our Year 5/6 Tag Rugby team have completed in the county final today and become County Champions, as well as Easington District Champions. They won all games played and were an absolute credit to the school. Well done!

REDStart Financial Education
Wed 08 Feb 2023Today, Year 5 and Year 6 have worked with the charity REDStart who specialise in providing children with financial education. Children have discussed the influence of advertising and how finances can affect emotions.
